Xbox 360 gets BBC radio stations via iPlayer app

The Xbox 360 has added another new feature to its new Entertainment hub features courtesy of the BBC iPlayer app as the service will now be able to broadcast live digital radio stations via your console and TV.

When iPlayer launched on the console in March, customers were initially left without access to the national network’s vast catalogue of audio programming

But now Xbox 360 users will now be able to listen to the likes of BBC Radio 1, BBC 1xtra, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC Radio 6, BBC Asian Network, and the BBC World Service all through their gaming console setup.

However not all the BBC Radio channels are covered: BBC 1xtra is, but Radio 5 Live Sports Extra and Radio 4 Extra are not.

Users will need to access onto the iPlayer app to download the 22MB update that will bring the Radio changes but unfortunately live streaming is not possible as part of eth servie its just catch up services.

You can read more about the updates at BBC.co.uk but eth update is available now on the Xbox 360 BBC iPlayer app.
