THQ confident for Saints Row: The Third record pre-orders

THQ are expecting pre-order’s to reach record highs for the company with upcoming Xbox 360 and PS3 threequel game Saints Row: The Third.

Speaking of the massive pre-order demand for Saints Row: The Third and the added “Professor Genki Bonus Pack”, which features a bonkers cat in medical robe (and is on offer exclusive to early-comers not available after release), THQ’s Jon Rooke tells a gaming website “We already have very strong indicators that Saints Row: The Third will be our best pre-order title ever”

Adding “Homefront was our last best one, and we are now well ahead of the curve with this title. Since we’ve started this Genki activity, we’ve seen our rate of pre-orders increase dramatically week-on-week. That’s not a pattern we’ve seen this early in a product before.”

Saints Row: The Third continues the story of the Third City Saints and the player controls the leader of the gang, in a third-person interactive gangland which features a host of characters including those voiced by new additions to the voicing duties Hulk Hogan and Sasha Grey as well as the returning Daniel Dae Kim.

THQ recently cut off several of its limbs, including THQ Digital Warrington and Kaos Studios. These subsidiaries have since reformed into new companies – Read the Gadget Helpline’s article here.
