Steve Jobs: The Movie set to go into production?

The technology section of every online news aggregater has been filled from top to bottom with pieces on the late, great Steve Jobs this week. While there’s obviously a moral blurriness in trying to draw page hits on the back of incredibly sad news, we feel you’d like to know that a movie based on Steve Jobs’ life may be in the works.

Sony Pictures has acquired the rights to the authorised biography of the Apple co-founder and ex-CEO, from author Walter Isaacson. Isaacson was allowed unprecedented access to Jobs to write the book, and has taken a $3 million pay-cheque from Sony.

The movie studio was the one behind the phenomenally successful Facebook/Mark Zuckerberg biopic The Social Network, so if the right director, screenwriter and cast are picked we can assume that Jobs’ life will be given the silver-screen treatment it deserves. Let us know your thoughts on our comments below or via our @Gadget_Helpline Twitter page or Official Facebook group.
