Sony Xperia SX & Xperia GX 1.5GHz Dual-core Android ICS Smartphones Announced in Japan
A couple of new Sony Xperia range mobiles have been announced in Japan. The impressive pair boast specs to rival the Xperia S which we’ve been able to enjoy here in the U.K for around two month now, but also deliver the one thing that still eludes us – that super-fast 4G LTE connectivity.
Both of the newly revealed Sony models come with newest Android OS update Ice Cream Sandwich with the Xperia SX coming along with 3.7” Mobile Bravia display with dual core processing delivered by 1.5GHz CPU and packing an 8-megapixel camera. The Xperia GX features a much larger 4.6” display, same processing prowess as the smaller model, but with a camera boost to 13-megapixels with full HD video recording and 1080p output which 16GB internal storage to keep it all. This one comes in white with a stylishly curved shape unlike the sharp and straight edged Xperia S which we recently reviewed.
There are no release dates or price details for this pair of Xperia handsets – or any information on whether or not a U.K release might be on the agenda, but the Gadget Helpline will follow Sony’s latest offerings for any light on these questions.
