Sony Ericsson Xperia Play – “Playstation phone” pre-orders start today

Pre-orders for the anticipated “Playstation phone” –  Sony Ericsson Xperia Play – are being taken as of today, with the mobile gaming gadget free of charge when selected with a 24-month Vodaphone contract costing £35 per month.

For this price you will receive 900 minutes call time, free Vodaphone-to-Vodaphone calls, unlimited texts and 750mb of data access per month, along with the Android Gingerbread enabled mobile Xperia Play and if you’re quick off the mark, limited for the first 1000 to sign up, will be a Sony Ericsson dock thrown in for no cost!

In addition to the Xperia Play, pre-orders for non-gaming alternative Xperia Arc which will come in at the slightly cheaper fee of £30 per month, but with 600 call time minutes, free texts and Vodaphone calls, with 500mb of data per month.

A good deal there, but let’s face it – it’s the Playstation phone that we’ll all want! The Xperia Play ships 31st of March and the Xperia Arc a day later on 1st of April.
