Infectious Draw Something App Game Makes Way For SING Something!

Anti-social-social app Draw Something is the closest thing we’ve got a zombie apocalypse. Since the app surfaced earlier this year its infection has spread to over 50-million Android and Apple gadget owners and is growing with a reported 3.5 million new drones becoming addicted to the creative game – Every. Single. Day.

Those not infected usually sit in solitude while their once so active mates attempt to pen the likenesses of anything from a block of cheese to MC Hammer which is then passed via Facebook to pals to guess what this drawing is. As for those already hooked, if you’re not the one drawing, you’re the one sat dribbling over your iPhone at home or on the bus waiting for someone to guess what it is that you’ve actually drawn and send back their own for you to guess (while they sit dribbling over their Samsung Galaxy).

If you’re fortunate enough to have survived this outbreak and are reading this now, let us warn you of the next step in the evolution of this annoying social virus – and readers of a sensitive disposition may wish to cover their ears. Literally – because SING Something has just arrived for iPhone and iPad!

Just like its predecessor, Sing Something features the “hangman” style letter panel and familiar interface but instead of having to draw – yes, you guessed it – you have to sing. Songs range from the 80s, 90s, 00s and beyond and feature popular and well-known artists and tunes. Sing Something, just like Draw Something, is socially connected to Facebook so players can spread this latest strain of the virus online. For a rough idea of what this app could mean for the world, imagine these zombies, who used to be our friends, singing Justin Bieber – badly – And we think you’ll want this thing brought to an end too!

We can’t help but think that this is a desperate cash-in to a contagious trend and where Draw Something had a marginal appeal of being a discrete way to pass time, we don’t see many players enjoying Sing Something in quite the same way –  particularly while in the loo or at their desk at work.. Check it out on the Apple App Store if you dare!
