Virgin Media’s TiVo app for Apple iPad has been caught in photo form for the first time, revealing some familiar aesthetics and some interesting features.
Carrying the Virgin Media colours throughout, the new TiVo app will allow digital video recordings to be brought onto the tablet via a TiVo box linked to a television. It looks a lot like the version of the popular digital video recording app already available through the US iTunes store and the photo revealed today gives us a look at the interface as well as a couple additions worth noting.
A tab stating “Bedroom DVR” would suggest that perhaps the app covers more than one TiVo box within the household. Linking content from the box to the tablet, but presumably not vice versa. There also looks to be a “Share” feature – possibly to add some social media flavour into the mix?
These are only points that can be speculated at the moment, as despite these images coming from Virgin Media, there has been no official press release regarding the anticipated TiVo app. We got a teaser today with this image, but you can expect more details in the next couple months.
