Opera releases 11.50 beta includes password sync

Opera has just launched its new 11.50 beta version of its browser, codenamed Swordfish, which now includes some neat new features including password syncing as well as a new updated speed dial.

The new Speed Dial that features in this beta release allows you to quickly access your favourite sites, and now has the ability to use extensions allowing you to customise your speed dials. So, if you happen to have some skill in using HTML and XML, you can have a go at creating your own extensions, or download them from the Opera extensions catalogue. Also, Opera have been very helpful in providing some instructions on how to develop your own Speed Dial extensions if you decide you want to give it a go.

Opera users will have already heard of Opera Link, which is a synchronisation tool ensuring that bookmarks and other browser information is synchronised between computers. Now though, this feature has been enhanced to allow you to synchronise your online passwords as well.

If you fancy giving the new beta release a go you can download it now directly from the Opera website. If you do, don’t forget to let us know your thoughts by sending us your comments below, or tweet us @Gadget_Helpline.
