Official Samsung Galaxy Nexus accessories available to pre-order

  • by

Samsung has announced the first set of official accessories for its Galaxy Nexus Android 4.0 smartphone, including a trio of docking stations.

MobileFun has stock of the three docking stations and has kindly posted some pictures and videos for us all to ogle at, while pre-orders begin on their website. Currently available are the Desk Stand, Desktop HDMI Dock and the Holder and Battery Charger. So why three different types of dock?

Desk Stand

The official Desk Stand (pictured above) allows you to sit your Galaxy Nexus in a landscape position to watch videos with ease on that great quality Super AMOLED 4.65-inch screen. The dock features the corresponding gold charging pins, so your Galaxy Nexus will charge while on the dock. This dock also has a 3.5mm audio out port, so you can output your music to some more powerful speakers.

Desktop HDMI Dock

Samsung’s HDMI Dock will allow you to output videos stored on your phone to a HDTV in Full HD 1080p quality. Simply slot your Galaxy Nexus onto the Micro USB connection on the dock and connect a HDMI cable from the dock to your TV and you’re ready to play. You’ll be able to watch movies as well as play back video clips you’ve captured using the phone’s 5-Megapixel camera. This dock also charges your Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Holder and Battery Charger

The most simple of the three docks. This little gadget will dock your phone and charge it via a Micro USB connection. There’s also a hidden compartment on the back in which you can store a spare battery and charge it up while you charge your phone. With two batteries charged up, you can be sure you won’t run out of juice.

Both the Desk Stand and the Desktop HDMI Dock will set you back £49.99, while the Holder and Battery Charger is much cheaper at just £14.99. MobileFun has all three, plus some stylish cases and screen protectors available right now so be sure to check them out.
