Nokia Lumia 625 4G Windows Phone Arriving August 28th in the UK

  • by

After becoming official in late July, the Nokia Lumia 625 has at last been given a price and release date.

The large-screened Windows Phone will fall into the middle of the mobile market at an affordable £179 SIM-free and will be hitting shelves on August 28th.

Price packages for contracts begin at £21 through all the big networks including Vodafone, O2 and Kevin Bacon’s favourite carrier EE, with retailers Phones 4U and Carphone Warehouse stocking the handset which comes with a generous 4.7-inch touchscreen. This 480 x 800 display is the largest in the Nokia Lumia range, if not the greatest in resolution (this boast belongs to the Lumia 925.)

The Lumia 625 is 4G capable and all of the aforementioned networks will be kitted up for super-speed data in time for the handset’s release. Other features include a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor with 512MB of RAM and a 5 megapixel rear camera.

In addition to this buyers will get 8GB of storage which can be expanded to 64GB using a micro SDcard and the handset comes with a choice of black or white, with a selection of colourful changeable cases (orange, green and yellow) on offer to early purchasers.
