Nokia Ace, Sea Ray and Sabre Windows Phone 7 smartphone specs leaked

There has been no end to the rumours as to what is going on at Nokia HQ, with not a month going by when something has gone wrong or the company have taken another “New Direction”, but still not changing its handsets.

What we are expecting from Nokia is in the coming months to be introduced to its new range of Windows Phone 7 smartphones, and today the specifications of a new WP7.5 (Mango) sporting handset have hit the world.

Nokia Sea Ray Windows Mobile Phone

Currently we know that Nokia are looking to release two new Windows Phone 7.5 smartphones in the form of the Nokia “Sea Ray” and the “Sabre”, but details of a third Nokia “Ace” phone have now emerged.

Now, “Ace” is just a codename, as Samsung have already bagged that guise for their Samsung Galaxy Ace Android smartphone, and the last thing Nokia needs is to confuse its customers, but whatever the Ace’s final name will be it’s got a pretty good looking set of specifications

According to to MyNokiaBlog.com the Nokia Ace will feature the following:

  • 4.3-inch AMOLED screen
  • 8 megapixel AutoFocus camera with Carl Zeiss lens
  • 1.4Ghz single core processor
  • HSPA+ connectivity for faster surfing and downloading
  • 16GB of storage
  • Windows Mango
  • An 1800mAh battery

So while only a small sample of a full spec sheet, a 1.4Ghz processor with 4.3-inch AMOLED screen and 16Gb of internal storage is nothing to be sniffed at. Teamed with the Windows Phone 7.5 Mango update the “Ace” could be a decent mid-level smartphone to rival Samsung’s Galaxy Ace and others.

The same leak also proposed specs for the “Sea Ray” and “Sabre” which are below:

Nokia “Sea Ray”

  • 3.7-inch AMOLED screen
  • 8 megapixel AutoFocus camera with Carl Zeiss lens
  • 1.4Ghz processor
  • 16GB of storage
  • Windows  Mango
  • An 1540mAh battery

Nokia “Sabre”

  • 3.7-inch LCD screen
  • 5 megapixel AutoFocus camera
  • 1.4Ghz processor
  • 8GB of storage
  • Windows Mango
  • An 1540mAh battery

We already know that the Nokia “Sea Ray” will be coming soon as Nokia’s CEO Steven Elop has been seen and was leaked in a video showing it off at a confidential Nokia event.

We all know that Nokia need something big to happen to the company and they need it to happen soon as they have recently had to drop 3500 jobs to stay up, and now appear to be putting all their faith in Microsoft’s Windows Phone Operating System.

We will see what Nokia have to offer at the Nokia World event in London at the end of October and we should hopefully be seeing the new handsets in their full non-codenamed forms.
