Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask Special Edition Announced for 3DS

  • by

Nintendo has finally announced its follow-up to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D and as expected it’s going to be another revamp of a much loved chapter in the series’ lengthy legacy as Majora’s Mask will arrive on 3DS in spring 2015!

A re-release of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, which was originally released for N64 in 2000, has been the topic of fan discussion and the inevitable next step since Ocarina came out for the portable in June 2011. And Nintendo hasn’t gone in half-heartedly, announcing through their Nintendo Direct Presentation last night that they’ll be offering Zelda adventurers in Europe a lavish bundle of goodies when the game finally goes on sale.

*LISTEN!*

The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D Special Edition harkens back to the game’s original N64 release which was celebrated with an “Adventure Set” full of exclusive items and is a box full of more must-own loot. As well as a physical copy of the game itself in a stunning SteelBook case there’s a double-sized glossy poster and a metallic heart shaped Majora’s Mask pin badge with presentation box stamped with the Legend of Zelda logo. The outer packaging also looks the business and is something stylish to treasure all the goodies inside.

In the latest Direct Presentation hosted by Nintendo President Satoru Iwata and Nintendo of Europe President Satoru Shibata a glimpse at the gameplay from the upcoming Majora’s Mask 3D was on offer, with hero Link appearing along with various villains and magical masks flying at the screen to show how the game is adapted to benefit the Nintendo 3DS’ unique third dimension. The controls of the game have also been developed to suit the handheld’s button layout for comfort during those hours of adventuring ad puzzle solving through the world of Termina.

The Nintendo Direct for 5.11.2014 also introduced The Legend of Zelda characters and amiibo figure compatibility for Mario Kart 8. For the full presentation click the Link below.
