Eye-Pad 3? iPad 2 successor to include retina display – iOS 5 coding reveals a secret?

Eye-Pad 3? With the inclusion of Twitter in Apple’s iOS 5 comes a bit of new coding and within that coding it’s been discovered by sharp-eyed developers that the next iOS devices supporting iOS 5 could come with a retina display – specifically the iPad 3.

Previous versions of iOS have proven to offer a glimpse of the future deep within the framework and these discoveries found within the iOS 5 SDK echo claims from back in January that current model, the iPad 2, would come with a retina screen – featuring allowance for large images at a screen resolution of 2048 x 1536, a BIG step up from 1024×768 (Do the math – that’s actually double the size!)

Bearing in mind Korean tech-beast Samsung are unabashedly claiming their work on retina display tablets with eye-watering 2560 x 1600 resolution screens, it’s time Apple made some headway.

The sneaky developer however, attempting some rumour control (and evidently failing!) reminds us that this could be nothing but a Twitter thing, or possibly even a coding error. But still, let’s not deny the fact this rumour has been kicking around for sometime, and now this latest snippet? As they say – if you hear something enough times you’ll end up believing it!
