Elecom Launches New Projection Keyboard

Wireless projection keyboards are nothing new, we’ve seen many over the years here at the Gadget Helpline – however electronics manufacturer Elecom has decided that there is room for at least one more.

The company’s new laser projected keyboard goes by the catchy name of TK-PBL042BK and will work with your iOS or Android device. The keyboard can be connected either by USB or via Bluetooth. Although, when attached via USB it will also charge the internal battery.

If you’re not familiar with how these keyboards work, simply put, it will project a full qwerty keyboard onto a flat surface and then detect where your fingers are tapping. However, the Elecom projection keyboard has an added feature called “mouse mode” which as I’m sure you’ll have guessed, allows you to control your device as if you were using a touchpad – ideal for web browsing no doubt.

So, if you have an urge for tapping your fingers on a flat surface all day and want to get your hands on one, expect to pay a hefty $348 (around £220).
