Cyborg vs Rousey – IT’S ON!! (In UFC 2 at Least!)

It’s the dream match that mixed martial arts fans have been eagerly anticipating for a long, long time. After years of trash talking and scathing verbal b**th-slapping across social media Cris ‘Cyborg’ Justino vs ‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey will finally happen in the Octagon.. in EA Sports UFC 2.

The addition of Cyborg to the roster as a new playable character comes thanks to the free-to-download UFC 2 Content Update #3 and with featured cover star Rousey already in the game it literally puts the women’s fight of the century in the hands of the Xbox One and PS4 players.

Cyborg was recently signed to UFC after years of living up to her nickname in Strikeforce and Invicta and will fight at the promotion’s UFC 198 event this weekend (Saturday 14th May) against Leslie Smith. A real-life tangle with Rousey seems to still be a long way off.

It’s great to see Cris Cyborg in the UFC gear at long last and Content Update #3 also introduces fellow female Banthamweight fighter Valentina Shevchenko to the playable line-up along with Welterweight contender Albert Tumenov.

As well as characters, the download will update the games playability with improvements to features such as blocking, health and stamina and the AI has been tweaked to work more smoothly with opponents and the referee.

EA Sports UFC 2 went on sale in March 2016 and was a big step ahead from its predecessor. The regular downloadable content continues to keep the game fresh – and best of all its free.

Xbox One and PS4 players should be able to get their mitts on update number 3 from today.
