Real-Life Angry Birds played in Barcelona streets for T-Mobile promo video

Angry Birds has gone Live in an amusing promo clip from phone network T-Mobile – featuring an amazingly bigger-than-life-sized version of the popular app-based game from Rovio Mobile.

Set in Barcelona, before a huge real-life construct of an Angry Birds level, the ad shows members of the public approaching the generic smartphone which displays the familiar game setting.

One fellow thinks he’ll take a go dragging the feathered flyer in catapult launcher, believing this to be just his beloved game the gent is startled to see a massive red bird burst from a container and set flight and collide into a massive structure featuring exploding green pigs. Essentially an air cannon controlled by mobile!

Cue the brass band playing the always-stuck-in-our-heads theme music and a sequence of giant-scale bird flinging begins! Bringing together a massive joyous crowd – It’s truly a sight!

T-Mobile have staged massive stunts like this before, including a sing-along in Trafalgar Square, dances in Liverpool Station, and most recently a very funny Royal Wedding skit featuring a look-alike Windsor family and guests busting a move down the aisle of Westminster Abbey!

We’re admittedly a little slow on the uptake with this one, it’s been online for a couple of months now but it’s well worth a look and is started to snowball onto Facebook with Angry Birds addicted pals reposting the YouTube link.
